After sitting out much of the second half of the season Caileigh Sindall has been cleared to play in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. Sindall was a starter early in the season when the Tar Heels defeated the #1 Northwestern Wildcats. After a concussion in practice she has had to watch from the sidelines for over half of the season. In her absence Courtney Waite has been very effective on defense. The other defensive players that have stepped up for the Tar Heels include Margaret Corzel, Sloan Serpe and Mallory Frysinger. Coach Jenny Levy will likely be very cautious when putting Sindall in the game. The health of all student athletes always comes first. After Sindall passed tests she has been cleared to get back to action.
