BREAKING: Caileigh Sindall Out Indefinitely with Concussion

We have learned that UNC sophomore Caileigh Sindall has suffered a concussion during practice and she has not been cleared to play. The Tar Heels will take on #10 Cornell tomorrow, March 20th, 2013. How long Sindall will be out is undetermined as the health of the young woman comes first. The University of North Carolina women’s lacrosse staff will monitor her progress. In the meantime the defense will likely include Sloane Serpe, Courtney Waite, Mallory Frysinger and Margaret Corzel. The 2013 UNC Tar Heels have shown they have the offense to compete for a national championship but Jenny Levy and the UNC staff will need to see the UNC defense step up in the absence of Sindall.

In 2014 the biggest injury problem for the Tar Heels was torn ACLs. Much more here: UNC Loses Six Players to Leg and Foot Injuries. We can only hope that 2015 will be an injury free season for the girls in Chapel Hill. If the injuries do not mount they should be able to make another run at a national title.
